A Happy Arab & Arabic Speakers of Kannur !
Introduction
Work has taken us to Malayala Manorama Kannur
Unit and we were relatively new with Kannur then. One of the memorable events
was that an Arab who was passing by near to Manorama office stops to talk to
auto drivers who were waiting for their turn.

was that an Arab who was passing by near to Manorama office stops to talk to
auto drivers who were waiting for their turn.
The auto drivers flock around him and converse in Arabic.The Arab seems visibly happy with their company and their Arabic skills.
A Pleasant Surprise
He also walks into Malayala Manorama office and eloquently conversing with the front office person.The front office person, originally from Central Travancore, has many years of service in Saudi Arabia.He says he has a good working knowledge of Arabic
The incident took place over 20 years ago during a Time and Attendance Automation installation
